MicroTECH
- Central New York's first computer store. MicroTECH
Computer Center was originally formed as Software City in 1983
selling only software. Software City gradually expanded its product
offerings to peripheral products, printers, modems, and other
computer hardware items. In 1992, the principles of Software
City converted the Syracuse store to a MicroAge franchise, thereby
adding many new hardware product items. |
|
In
1999, the company's name changed to MicroTECH. This
name change was to better reflect the company's emphasis on
repairing computer equipment, installing networks and other
technical support. As a general rule, MicroTECH only provides
product lines that can be adequately supported by its staff. The
primary computer lines sold include IBM, Apple, Hewlett Packard,
Epson, and Compaq. |
|
It
is our policy to design and tailor our support. As a
result, we maintain the flexibility to take total responsibility for
network installations and support when customers require this
approach, or to provide support only if and when needed, as some of
our larger corporate customers with Information Technology (IT)
departments desire. |
